FREE PRODUCTION TOOL

Before you print,
check the handoff.

A practical checklist to help the business owner, designer and printer see agreed requirements and outstanding work in one place.

This reviews your answers; it does not inspect artwork or certify print readiness. No file upload or automatic input saving.

Job details

What have you actually checked?

Choose “Confirmed” only when the item has been checked with the responsible person. “Not applicable” is offered only for optional items.

Agree the trimmed dimensions, orientation, and single- or double-sided output.
Specify the material, weight where relevant, quantity, coating and finishing.
Ask the provider for the required values; one setting does not fit every product.
Confirm the colour space, ICC profile and any spot colours with the printer.
Review images at the intended output size and viewing distance.
Check fonts, linked assets, and missing or overset text.
Check prices, dates and contact details in the final version.
Confirm permission to use the images, fonts and logos before production.
Test a sample at final size, on more than one phone when possible.
Request the printer’s PDF or delivery specification and inspect the exported file.
Record the proof filename, version and approver before production.
Agree the delivery date, packaging, destination and receiving contact.
Request a fold plan and check content orientation on a folded proof.

Hand over one identified version

Include the filename and version in the handoff, together with requirements and outstanding actions. Obtain explicit approval for that specific proof before the production run.

Quick answers

Is there one bleed setting for every job?

Do not apply one generic value to every product. Get the provider’s specification for the print process, material and finish.

Does a completed checklist mean the file is printable?

No. The result is based on your answers. Fonts, images, colour, exports and the actual proof still need inspection in design tools and with the printer.

Do I need to upload my artwork here?

No. The tool does not accept artwork uploads. Download the checklist and share it with your provider using your chosen method.
