Confirm production specifications
Agree the finished size, quantity, material, sides, folding, cutting, mounting and delivery date. Ask for the printer’s required bleed, safe area and file format. Do not assume one bleed value or resolution rule suits business cards, banners and large outdoor signs alike.
Check the information, not only the design
Read every phone number, URL, address and offer condition from the final file. Scan the final QR code on more than one phone and check the destination. Keep a readable fallback URL or phone number where appropriate; a QR code alone can exclude some customers.
Use a proof and documented approval
Confirm font handling, image quality and colour expectations with the printer. Request a suitable proof for the job and approve it in writing. Screen colour is not a promise of identical printed colour. Keep the approved version clearly named so an earlier draft is not produced.
Inspect delivery and installation
Check a sample against the approved proof, count quantities and inspect finishing. For installed work, document the approved location and method with the responsible venue or owner. Record defects and responsibility before accepting the full job.
